Synopsis
After a suicide attempt, music student Yukiko returns with her mother Hatsuko, a widow in charge of a geisha house. When the young doctor Matoba, who is having an affair with Hatsuko, becomes attracted to Yukiko, mother and daughter are forced to confront each other.
