In El método de los claros, the researcher, essayist and filmmaker José Manuel Mouriño examines in detail the ties between María Zambrano’s books and the places she inhabited during her nearly fifty years in exile.

The documentary includes interviews with connoisseurs and experts on both her work and her life, like Fernando Savater and José Ángel Valente, and her connection to Víctor Erice, whose film El espíritu de la colmena and Castilian landscapes moved Zambrano. El método de los claros also includes recordings and fragments from other audiovisual pieces that go more deeply into the thinker and the Spanish period in which she was born, educated and from which she had to go into exile. Personal friends and other key figures meet in this documentary testimony that brings the public closer to this great thinker that was recognized during the last decade of her life with renowned important literary awards: the Prince of Asturias Award (1981) and the Cervantes Prize (1988).
