Synopsis
A short film based on the homonymous text by the sociologist Jean-Yves Petiteau. This itinerary follows the life of Jean Bricard, the manager of a sand extraction company, and his historical, geographical and economic comments on the banks of the Loire River and the islands that populate it. It is also a tribute by Straub to his partner Danièle Huillet, who died in 2006.
