Ione Atenea (Pamplona, 1985) usually works with photography and filmmaking. Her work has been exhibited, either individually or collectively, in places such as La Ciudadela, Huarte Contemporary Art Centre, CámaraOscura Art Gallery, Espacio 55, Festival Bfoto, Scan Photobooks, Skala Art Gallery and Project mARTadero, among others. She has written and directed the feature-length films ENERO (2019), Award to Best European First Film at the 57th Gijón International Film Festival, and LOS CABALLOS MUEREN AL AMANECER (2022), Panorama Spain Award at the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival. Her films have been exhibited also at festivals such as Punto de Vista, Porto/Post/Doc, L’Alternativa, D’A o Documenta Madrid, among others.
