Synopsis
25 years have gone by since José Monje Cruz, Camarón de la Isla, passed away, yet no one has appeared unanimously deserving of being called the heir of the gigantic revolution he promoted in Flamenco singing. If one were to ask today any of his old fans and close friends, they would claim he “sings better every time”. Yet the undeniable Big Bang of his legend, the album La leyenda del tiempo (1979), caused a disagreement back in the Flamenco community of its day. This documentary film gets us closer to the man and his legend.
