Synopsis
This film follows Otsuya, who, after being sold to a geisha house and marked with a giant spider tattoo on her back, embarks on a journey of revenge. As her body transforms into a macabre work of art, rage and the desire for justice slowly consume her soul, defying society's rules and confronting the dark secrets of her past. An erotic Edo-era fable photographed by the legendary Kazuo Miyagawa (RASHŌMON), IREZUMI delves into power structures and sexual liberation.
