Sesi Bergeret García has been part of the selection and programming committee of L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival, since 2007, while taking on various roles over time and being part of its team since 2003. She was co-organiser and co-programmer of Cádiz.doc, the International Independent Documentary Showcase, from 2003 to 2005. She directed the documentary HISTORIA CHIQUITA QUE CRUZA UN OCÉANO in 2004 (Málaga Festival, International Film Festival of Uruguay, Festival de Cinema e Direitos Humanos da América do Sul), which won a Special Mention at the Santiago del Estero Film and Human Rights Festival. In addition to programming at L’Alternativa, she works in the communications field for cultural projects. She has been part of press teams of CCCB – The Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, Sala Hiroshima, the agency La Costa Comunicació, and the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
