Maria Lanfranchi is a six-year experienced film industry professional. After graduating in Literature and Linguistics Studies at the Sapienza University of Rome, she worked with the Venice Film Festival – Giornate degli Autori. In 2020, she began her collaboration with Intramovies, an international sales agent based in Rome, which focuses on independent and international cinema, counting on films that premiered and won awards in Venice, Berlin and Cannes. There, she works as Head of Festivals, besides being actively involved in acquisitions and international co-productions, the last of which premiered in Competition at the 2025 Berlinale. She was selected to be part of the Locarno Industry Academy in 2021 and the U30 program in 2023. Maria is an EAVE alumna and a European Film Award member.
