Alba González de Molina began her career in social cinema by co-directing several documentaries. In 2016, she wrote and directed her first feature film, JULIE, which relished a significant run at national and international festivals and won several awards, including Best First Feature and the Silver Biznaga for Best Supporting Actress at the Málaga Film Festival. In 2017, she directed the short film LA HORA DE LA MERIENDA. This LGBTQ+-themed film also received recognition at festivals and has been included in the New Spanish Shorts catalogue, a selection of 28 essential films from the last 20 years of Spanish short films at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in 2022. In 2020, she directed her latest work, EL TIEMPO ES NUESTRO, a documentary composed by a generation of Canarian artists that, through an artistic experiment, tells the intangible abyss behind creation. She was part of the pre-selection team for Miradas Doc International Documentary Film Festival and  a member of the project selection committee and production assistant for the professional section of the at the L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival. She is currently the managing director of CIMA, the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media.
