Synopsis
Mabel, an emotionally unstable mother, is much loved by her husband, Nick, and their children. However, there comes a time when her behaviour becomes a hindrance and creates tension in the family, forcing Nick to take action. Rowlands was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a film considered by many to be Cassavetes' finest work.
