Synopsis
In Beijing World Park, a theme park that recreates the world's most famous landmarks, two workers maintain a relationship marked by the tensions of their environment. Through their everyday experiences, Jia Zhangke paints a portrait of contemporary China defined by social transformation, precariousness, and the illusion of a globalised world reduced to a mere simulacrum.
