Natural-born melomaniac and MMF’s current Programmer, Wahteque Selector makes clear his stylistic range with the motto “The discreet charm of RETROmania”. He began playing records in the 90s as opening acts for Insecto and Dead Capo’s gigs in Madrid, and continues today with his Pop-Rock selections –in the broadest sense- that spans nearly 70 years of known and not-so-known jewels, ranging from the 1950’s: Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Roll, Movie Soundtracks, Northern Soul, Garage, Boogaloo, Punk or Classic Indie are some of the genres he diplays in his sessions. His stage name is a tribute to both Blake Edwards’ classic THE PARTY and “Wah-Wah” guitar pedal. The Monkey Nights’ Resident DJ.
