International Short Film Jury

Born in Madrid, 1981. After his Master of Media Communications from the UCM he studied at the Lisbon Cinema School (ESTC). THE ANTS (2007) was his debut film. His second short film: GENTLEMEN was an International Premiere in IDFA 2011 and was showed in many festivals around the World, being nominated as best European film in Go Short 2012, International Short Film Festival. That film won prizes in some of the most relevant film festivals in Spain.

His last short, GOOD MORNING RESISTANCE, was an International premiere in Rotterdam IFF 2013, won Best Documentary short film in Vila do Conde Film Festival, Adana Golden Boll FF,  Best etho-Anthropological film in Popoli Documentary Film Festival, and Best short 2013 for Cahiers du cinema (Caimán, Cuadernos de cine) among other prizes. Adrián kept filming the same family from his last short film during 4 years more; and now presents his first feature-length film, in which fiction and documentary are in continual feedback.

NIÑATO has been awarded in Visions du Reel (Switzerland) -Most Innovative First Film-, Bafici (Argentina) -Best Film International Competition-, Ficq (Quito) -Best Film International Competition-, Sevilla European Film Festival -Best Film New Waves Competition-, Pravo Ljudski Film Festival Sarajevo -International Competition Special Mention Of The Jury-, Transcinema International Film Festival (Perú) -International Competition Special Mention Of The Jury-, Fenix Iberoamercan Prix -Nominated Best Documentary Cinematography- and Feroz Awards 2018 -Nominated Best Documentary-.
