Sinopsis
Islandia, en la Edad Media. Una mujer es quemada en la hoguera acusada de brujería. Este hecho obligará a sus hijas a huir en la busca de un lugar seguro donde vivir. Pronto, se encontrarán con Jóhann, un hombre viudo que vive con su hijo en un rincón solitario del país.
