Spider (Paul Le Mat) is a young man who works repairing CB radios and spends his spare time volunteering. He lives with his father. Chrome Angel (Charles Napier) is an interstate truck driver passing through the outskirts of town during bad weather, when he is injured in an accident. Spider rescues him, taking him to the hospital. During his recovery in town, Chrome Angel visits Debbie, a prostitute that contacts her clients through the CB radio.
